Will s motherboard work with socket 775 pentium 4 processors?

ASUS P5G43T-M Pro LGA 775 Intel G43 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

i am on a tight budget and would like to reuse my socket 775 pentium 4 prescott @ 3.8ghz on ther new board with pci express 2.0 also i realize i would have to use ddr2 memory even though the board supports ddr3 because pentium 4 procs dont have the ddr3 controller. am i right?
and i states support for fsb as low as 800mhz which mine has and it only mentions pentium d and celeron d as the oldest supported chips

  1. Check the MB's online product page for the CPU support list. The exact processor you have would have to be listed there to be supported by the G43 MB. Pentium 4 processors do not house the memory controller. The NB chip on the MB has the memory controller.
  2. Going by the manufacturers CPU support list it does not appear that you can use the P4.
