Going to be running:

i7 860
ATI 5850
Asus P7P55D Pro motherboard
Windows vista 64bit and then Windows 7 when it comes out.....

Comp will be used for some work, moderate gaming... Should I go with 1600 or 1333

Because I'm not 100% sure how to without damaging anything.. and I didn't want my cpu running at 60c+ while gaming like my brothers E8500 with the stock intel fan....

What would I gain from OC'ing my E8500.....It runs everything I play maxed out right now.... and how safe am I using the EZtune software that came with my mobo to OC.

I don't think you will notice a big difference, unless you are using some RAM intensive application AKA PHOTOHOP and some others then you can go with 1333mhz. Although, i'd do some research on toms articles for some benchmarks to see the real difference.

Really..........it bothers you this bad that I bought a Xig, to lower cpu temps @ a stock speed..... Maybe the Xig was the best value at the time... wtf does it matter to you? grow up and stay off my post's.
