Phenom II (2) X4 955 + Asus Crosshair III (3) + DDR3-1600 Bios Setup

Hello All,

I recently assembled a new rig.

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE
Motherboard: Asus Crosshair III
RAM: Patriot Viper Extreme Performance DDR3-1600

1) I have heard that it's good to have CPU FSB and RAM clock be integer multiples of one another to prevent aliasing or something. What do you guys recommend? If so, what BIOS settings do I need to change?

2) Also the motherboard supports DDR3-1600 (O.C.). I tried hard setting the DRAM speed to 1600MHz in the BIOS but MEMtest found errors (and I got 2 bluescreens). I have since reverted the memory speed to 1333Mhz. Does anyone have any insight on how to accomplish this?

3) I am also wondering if I should manually enter DRAM timings?

4) Are there some "must-have" BIOS settings that I am perhaps overlooking?
