Both audio+video from PC to Plasma TV, is it possible?

Hey guys,

I would like BOTH audio and video hooked up to a plasma TV.

Here are the general specs:

PC...
video card: DVI-I
sound card: the typical 1/8" 3.5mm ports

TV...
has both HDMI and component ports.



Remember that the audio and video need to be on the same "input section" on the TV, so when I choose "input #1, #2... or whatever" both audio and video will work.

What do I need?

What video card in particular? Also get a connector that will turn an eighth inch audio plug into red and white RCA plugs, you will then be able to plug those into the appropriate audio in on the TV.

Or you can replace the card with an ATI 4xxx series card with HDMI, as they have a built in sound card. (no need for an extra wire to the SPIDF connector)
