1 HDMI to 6 out questions.

Hi All,

I am trying to display what is on my computer onto 6 monitors about 50 feet away.

At first, I plugged each monitor in individually to make sure the cables worked, each monitor worked perfectly.

Then, I tried USB video cards, which worked, but not like I wanted. So after that I bought a Gefen 1 to 8 HDMI splitter, which does not work at all!

I am wondering if anyone else has done this setup or has any advice. I had a deadline of a few days ago to get this running, so now everyone is giving me dirty looks!

Do you have a motherboard with three video cards?
That's what I would recommend.
You need a very powerful power supply and 3 ATI or Nvidia cards.

I actually tried that with 3 Nvidia 98000's and a 1000w power supply. The issue is that Nvidia has hardware power saving and it won't detect the monitors on those ports, so they never get turned on!

Problem solved.

I bought a PCI USB Card and plugged 6 IOgear video cards into it. Works great.
