My monitor was acting up, so I switched the bios from the card to the internal display. Then restarted. The internal display only gives me garbage. Now neither the card or internal work and I have no idea on how to switch it back to the way it was before.

So, you are now using your intergrated gfx chip but it is not working.

Can you get into safe mode at all?

Have you got or can you borrow a spare monitor from somewhere?

Yes, I have a spare monitor and neither work.

Both just give me a rainbow of scrambled color when connected to the internal.

Both your intergrated and dedicated card don't display correctly?

I think your screen is fine, Probably a motherboard issue.

What's you computer, is it old ??

Do you have a working computer you could test the screen on ??

Try using integrated with your graphics card removed from the computer.

The computer is an old bare bones system.

The monitor basically worked before I switched the bios from card to internal.

I have tried F8 to get into safe mode with no avail.

I suspect that the problem is the resolution is set higher that what the internal will support.

What about booting into vga mode?

That will automatically set it to a low res and might get you in enough to sort things.

Did the safe mode options appear at all?
