File type problem

I was messing around in the folder options under the "file types" tab. I clicked on advanced at the bottom and I changed my icon for "file folder." Everything was fine until I noticed that when I open a folder, it does whatever action is set to default (e.g. "find" or "add to VLC media player's list") instead of opening the folder the normal way. I managed to set a new default manually by adding a new action and typing "open" and setting the application to explorer. However, it opens every folder that I click on in another window even though the option is set to open in the same window.

How can I restore the default action for clicking a folder?

On the same tab, "File Types," find the folder icon you modified, click on the advanced button and change the properties, choose "Set Default," then click on the "OK" button.
