No sound on vista.

Hi folks,
This is driving me abit crazy so any help is much appreciated.

My story so far is i had 2 hardrives in my computer on running vista nad one windows 7. the harddrive with windows 7 failled so i started using the harddrive with vista.
The problem i am facing is that there is no sounds, not even a sound device. There was no problem with Wwindows 7 but now nothing.

Does anyone know of a fix or solution.

Try checking the device manager under "system" and hardware in the control panel. Uninstall any devices with a mark next to them; but first load the motherboard cd drivers for your card into your dvd drive. Then reboot and install the motherboard sound drivers or let windows search for them.
