How did you ever manage to get that many Sims to
come to your part? I thought there was a limit?

LOL, cool... I invited 99 people once, but only about 10 showed up...
not a very popular sim I guess. Relationships matter a lot to wether
or not they come.

I used the cheat "invite all neighborhood". I play Strangetown, and I didn't
have a lot of new people there yet. (I can only invite 2 people when I have a
party.) Well, they all showed up gradually. When I would send one of the hosts
to greet them to get them to come into the house and yard, it was so cute. She
would nod to them and then they all nodded back at the same time. I have a
David Duchovny character and when he showed up they all had David Duchovny
bubbles over their heads. Since I have a David Duchovny character, I also have
Fox Mulder, but even though they look the same (Mulder's in a suit) he didn't
get the same reaction. Weird. All the romance people kept swooning all the
good looking sims.
I had about 40-50 sims there and until about 20 left, it was pretty jerky, but
after that it was a blast. I had extra pool tables and swings to get them into
the back yard. I thought the big banquet table would pull them in, but they
weren't interested until they were starving I guess. They loved the big screen
wall tv and the hot tubs, too. I had 4 of them playing the musical instruments
all night. I had a lot of pregnant women there and made extra bathrooms for
that reason but forgot to put in doors (oops), so they were the first ones to
leave.
The ones that hung around the longest were the townspeople (the ones who had
houses and storylines). They especially hogged the pool tables because, I
assumed, they didn't have one at home. Circe and Loki were the last to leave at
around 2 am, I think. Since there was such a mess, I used influence to get my
David Duchovny character to help clean. He did a good job. I thought everyone
had left and then I found David upstairs making the beds! Boy, he's thorough.
Thru the night I kept hearing these strange little noises and next morning the
sims who lived there kept making noises about something that stunk and holding
their noses. I made everybody go shower once before I actually found Pascal's
baby on the kitchen floor. Nobody would pick her up and she needed her diaper
changed so I had Pascal come over. He picked her up, made the stinking gesture,
I then told him to go home, so he put the baby back on the floor and went home!
Sheesh. I finally had to delete her to get rid of her.
The next time I did this there were too many new characters in Strangetown and
all the babies had been born. It was jerky thru the whole thing this time and
no one would play the musical instruments together. I had some toddlers at that
time and wanted to see if they would be there but they weren't. But all babies
came with their parents and the parents all parked them outside the front of the
house on the sidewalk. That was funny. I found Fox Mulder holding one of them
and it wasn't even his. He now has that baby in his memory as an acquaintance.
And this time I had to keep moving the big screen wall tv farther back in the
house to get them to go out in the backyard. I don't remember much more about
this neighborhood get together except that it was frustrating. I haven't played
Pleasantville yet. I'll have to remember to have one of these get togethers
before I introduce too many new sims there.

Whooop!! Oh, sorry. I really shouldn;t start guffawing over a daddy
abandoning his baby after a party, but...
And nobody would change it's nappy? Oh lor!!!! The rotten lot.

Oh, that is bad. Did the baby disappear completely or is it also at home
with Pascal?

Oh LOR!!! Better and better....
I must try this.
Thank you so much. First good laugh of the day.

That's the problem with that cheat... they bring babies and
toddlers... sick, sick people... I wouldnt mind so much if at least
they brought them back with them when they left!!!

Well, I tried it... Ghastly. A mob turned up, got greeted and most of them
decided to go straight back home.
Then, soon as I asked a Sim to do anything I started getting error messages.
Also my computer slowed to a crawl. 8(
I didn;t see any spare babies left behind though, which was a pity. I wanted
to see what would happen. By mid evening there were about ten guests left,
hanging in there to the very end. All-in-all a disturbing experience and not
much fun for me at all. <gloom>
I did manage to have both a birthday and a marriage though, but put the
ruddy arch the wrong way round, at the edge of the grid and the guests were
all crammed in behind a masking bank of bamboo. That cheered me up a bit. 8)

I even bought the diaper changer for them and they still would not pick up that
baby and change her. The changer was there when Pascal came and he still
wouldn't change her. I was kinda worried about deleting her since it was my
first baby but fortunately she was at home with Pascal when I switched over to
their place.

Yeah, when you have a large neighborhood, it doesn't go so well. I was really
disapointed with my second one since the first one went pretty well. And I got
those error messages, too, on my first one. Just waited them out and pretty
soon enough left so I could start some interaction. I still had about 25-30
sims there and things were going pretty well. They were all over the place,
playing pool, hotubbing, swinging on the swingset, watching tv, eating and every
now and then one of them would play with that strange little game with the
numbers but only one sim at a time. That's a pretty useless toy. Nobody would
swim though. I don't remember which party they all got sick. Amanda, one of
the hostesses, got sick from picking up the dirty plates and gave the flu to
whomever was left. That's one hell of a way to end a party. I won't do it
again with this neighborhood but maybe a new neighborhood with less sims.
Sounds like you should have invited the cowplant to your party to really cheer
you up.

Just as well because it would have been terrible to explain away.
Ihad the same sort of thing just now. I have been zombifying and
un-zombifying like crazy recenty. the couple are currently normal.
I played another Sim and the female ex-zombie was still there, pink, but
dragging her feet. I began to get the jitters. perhaps she had reverted to
type?
A quick blast with the Tarot Cards put her right again so i will never know
if she lurched in her own home or not. Doubtful.
Like Pascal's baby, it is a case of the game not catching up with our
terrible will.

Cooo! I am impressed! Typhoid Mary Sim.
So... cultivate a green plate. Tenderly; then, when it is ripe, throw a
party.
I suppose one could lay out a meal in a garden pavilion, then close the
walls up until the food festered, THEN throw the party and put in a few
arches for access.
Thank you, dear. You are a mine of inspiration.
