Running an i5 760 @ stock speed in an Antec 300 case. The A50 with stock fan spinning @ 1600rpm cools the cpu to about 25-27 idle. However when running prime95, it's shooting up to about 57-58°C. I can't see why it's performing so poorly when i've seen people post temps around 45°C with it.

Honestly I don't see your temps being that far off. In a 70F room, (normal room temperature) you will most likely be close to the low 50's maybe even high 40's Celsius. You can run your chip into the 70's Celsius with out hurting it under 100 percent load. You could even overclock if you feel like it.

You have a point, i just ran another one for a bit earlier today. temperatures were lower this time ...in the low... 53-54ish. Room's not as hot today so its only about 25°C room Temp...Thanks for helping :D
