My EVGA GTX 295 is getting very low scores, 13862 in performance mode on Vantage.
System is :
i7 920 with TRUE
EVGA GTX 295
Corsair Dominator CAS8 DDR1600 6gb tri channel
Samsung Spinpoint F1 640gb 16mb buffer
Antec P183+CX850 PSU
Gigabyte X58 UD4p Mobo
Everything is running at stock speeds, system score is 15980, CPU is 29512, GPU is 13862 mentioned above.
Is something wrong with my card?
I just disabled SLI, and i was getting 35+ FPS constant...is my second card in my gtx 295 dead or something?
I re-enabled SLI and it dropped back down to <20 fps...I tried AFR and force splitting, and even the default "Let Nvidia Decide"...wtf is going on
OK, I just tried "Force Alternate Frame Rendering 2", and I'm getting 35+ FPS constant @1680x1050 with high settings with 4x AA...
Seems low considering a single 4870 can get 60 fps on my rig based on toms prototype benchies, but is this because of my stock speeds?
And what is the difference between AFR 1 and 2????
Because AFR1+split frame rendering are getting me <20 FPS constant...is there something wrong with my card???
well for some reason prototype has never been benched with sli systems
and when I play it, my 2nd GPU of my GTX 295 is hotter than the first one, which never happens in other games I play, which I know support SLI
There is a bug in Prototype that makes you get very low fps(this can happened to anyone doesn’t mater what GPU you have this have something to do with the Human Interface Devices) to fix this you have to disable some devices in the device manager -> Human Interface Devices
Prototype support SLI only if you are using 186 or 190 drivers, but there is a problem
These drivers don’t have SLI profiles for the UK/European release. To fix this you have to install nHancer v2.5.1 and make a profile for Prototype.
Here is the default profile as shipped with the driver:
