hi all, I have two seperate questions:

1. i have windows 7 installed with 2gb of memory. if i add another 2gb giving me a total of 4gb, will i notice a difference in speed?

2. do they make 2GB DDR 400 memory modules? i've only ever seen 1gb modules.

More about : win7 2gb 4gb

Hi

1- You can see a little increase on some games and applications, also, when your PC boot.

2- Yes, exist but are too expensive.

well i have a socket 939 motherboard and I'm not going to do build another machine. so you're saying the speed increase that i'd get from going from 2gb of ram to 4gb in windows 7 is not worth $100can?

No, what sain is saying is it's not worth $100 to upgrade a dead platform. Save the money and do a new build in a few months.

DDR is more expensive that DDR2 and maybe DDR3 'cause is too old, and today only few rigs keeps this ram on use.
