I have a recent computer with a g31m s2l motherboard and a 9600gt ecs 1go. the problem is, the gpu fan is very loud. I tried rivatuner, speedfan with no luck. I even tried plugging the fan on the sysfan motherboard plug but still no luck. I finally installed expertool and the fan sliders are greyed! however, the gpu temperature is displayed correctly. the gpu fan has a 3 wire plug, is it the issue? thanks.

You could try an after market replacement cooler. My old 8800GT was noisey too, so I swapped it for the Akasa Vortex Neo.... works a treat and is only £17.00

The fan might not have a fan controller, many cheaper graphics cards work at 100% all the time. This might be a good excuse to buy that fancy new graphics card ;)

I finally bought a zalman variator, I silenced this #/@8{§ fan and the temperature doesnt go up 45C (for now). these were 7 euro well spent (better than a new card).
