How far should i OC and how do i tell if my bios is reading hdd right

Okay i have an i5 760 with an antec 900 case and a coolermaster cpu fan.



i was wondering what should be a reasonable overclock for gaming because i wanna run skyrm on perfect settings when it comes out.

i have gotten it to like 3.2 on my own, but i'm never sure that if i increase the bus speed my ram won't work as fast because the speed changes.


Also i wanted to know how to check if my bios is reading my sata 3gb/s hdd as a sata drive instead of ide. I remember it says like ahsi, and a few options to click in the menu.

My mobo is a p7p55d-e pro

I think ram not srtrong in high frequency, because increase Fsb, just drop divider ram or relax/lossen timing. if you had uncorrect hdd seting in default your system won't boot I think not caused by overclock
