My keyboards wont work

ive just biult myself a new computer for my gaming, however to install the software required i need a keyboard. the problem is that my pc wont respond to a keyboard, even though the keyboards work and are plugged in correctly. no matter whether i use a ps2 or a usb connection. does anyone know whats going on.

Errrrr, have you tried another keyboard?

at present ive tried seven keyboards. some have been usb and some have been ps2.

I'm assuming the computer won't even boot correct? -> aka you shouldn't even be able to try installing windows ect...

What is the exact error that your getting?

the pc turns on however it just comes up with the motherboards default menu saying press f2 to run setup press f11 for boot menu press tab to switch screen. however when i do that nothing happens and it wont load anything from a disc, even those for the gpu or windows, without pressing f2 or f11.

have you tried enabling USB keyboard in bios? Often times it is disabled by default. What motherboard are you using? And have you modified the boot order so that it tries to boot off of the optical drive?

i cant get to bios without a keyboard and im using an asrock A770DE.

thanks for the help guys. ive sent the part back to the seller for testing as i believe that is what was causing the problem.
