I'm about to get rid f my gtx 260 core 216 for a ati card... Should i go for a HD 4890 or 4850 x 2 2gb? My mob only supports cfx and i would like to be future proof... Gaming on a 23" 1080p monitor...
What would be the best bang for my $$$!
Any feedback will be appreciated...
Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 940
BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX 128M
Thermaltake M9
Kingston HyperX T1 Series 4GB
Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler, with a Thermaltake A2018 120mm fan, and TX-2 compound
Scythe DFS123812-3000 "ULTRA KAZE" 120 x 38 mm Case Fan x 3 (2 intake and 1 Exhaust)
go for 4890.for future u can add 1 more 4890 or sell it for dx11 vga card..(still got value of selling)(good for high resolution)
2x 4850 cf on your mobo only will make it become 8x.althought it will slightly faster abit and cheaper then 4890.anyway is your choice(no value after selling)
IMO and somehow based on the GFX Hierarchy Chart, both upgrades might not offer that big of an improvement. However, I believe the 4850X2 will be better in most cases than the 4890.
