Do I need to update the BIOS in the mobo

Its my first time putting together a PC. The MObo is Asus P7-P55d - 1156. with I5-750 cpu

1- I presume the a Bios is already installed on the mobo.

2- do I need to update the Bios. if so how do I go about. Guidance is well appreciated.

1. It should be, it's kind of hard to see from the pictures, but it appears to be just above the internal USB connectors.

2. Probably not, especially if you assemble the system, it POSTs, you load an OS, and it boots to the OS. But if you want to, see Chapter 3 of your manual, ep. 63
