My computer won't boot to a USB drive. I have heard that there is software that would allow me to boot to a USB drive. Does anyone know where I can get this software if it is true?
My USB was treated as a hard drive. It was actually kind of confusing, but I got it to work. I wish they had treated "USB" as a distinct option. "CD/DVD", "HDD/SDD", "USB" and "floppy" should be separate with their own internal priorities.
No it does not support booting from USB. Thanks Hawkeye22. This saves me from a lot of head aches. My motherboard is an Asus M2N-E-SLI with Win 7 home 64 bit SP1.
[Thanks photonboy. It think I will just forget about booting from a USB drive like Hawkeye22 said if my computer won't boot from USB then it will not work. It sounds like you had a lot of trouble getting it to work so I will leave well enough alone. I agree it must have been very confusing trying to get it setup.
