Tivo problem - no signal received!

Ive had my TiVo for about 2 years, though its had virtually no use for
the past 3 months.

I had noticed recently that it doesnt appear to be receiving a signal
via either the Aux scart OR the RF.

I decided to reset everything and do a complete re-install, but this
same problem exists.

The model is an original (UK) Thompson 40GB with an additional 120GB
HD. Anything that had been recorded did still playback (prior to me
wiping the HD).

The RF signal is passing the signal through OK, and the TiVo menus do
appear on the TV - just no live pictures using the TV itself. The RF
signal does get through OK - just the TiVo doesnt detect it. Same
thing applies to RF. In setup, not one RF channel detects a signal.
Similarly for Aux Scart. (I have also changed scart cables just in
case that was the reason.

I could understand if say the scart caused a short and knocked out
that route - but both methods is very strange.

Anyone have any ideas what the problem is or how to diagnose whats
needed to be done?
