When i play call of duty 4 i have it up full graphics and it is lagging and goes down to about 35fps sometimes so just wondering if there is a bottleneck or something here.
These are my specs!
MB: GB-G33M-DS2R
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 275 869mb
CPU: Intel e7400 2.8ghz
RAM: Yeahdone 2x 2gb GDDR2
HD: 2x WD sata 320 gb
Power Supply: 860w
Monitor:LG W2242T 22" 1680x1050 60hz
hmmmm.... there should not be any bottleneck here... i have 4890 and i play pretty much everything at 1680x1050. anyway, g33 is not a nice board. maybe try to overclock the cpu.
I went into the control panel i restored all the settings and now call of duty 4 is running smoother but some bits still go down to around 35 fps.
should i disable v-sync or something?
ill mess around with the settings

You could check the background processes running. Check on Google what the process/application is for, and verify if you really need it running. Could also be a fragmented hard disk, though I haven't really seen a game slow down due to fragmentation.
I noticed that when i zoom in on the red dot sight when theres fighting in the background it goes down to about 35 in fps but when i zoom out its fine.
