Can't upgrade 4g of memory of satellite a200

I'm trying to upgrade my memory to 4G (kingston) but only accept one module at a time.

It's Toshiba Satellite A200 T2310 Dual Core @ 1.46 GHz

yes, I'm upgrading it to 4G (2x-2G) kingston and it's only work on one module, if I put both module, the system doesn't reboot.

Boot with one module, if it boots, take that module out and put the other module in and try to boot again...

And when you say it "doesnt reboot" does it not turn on at all? or does the bios post an error?

my machine is satellite a200, i tried to upgrade also - to 4G = 2 module , same situation , it accept only 1 module.if put 2 module it do not boot at all.

go to the store i bought ram , the guy said bios need to upgrade to accept 4g
