Can you access them, read/write to/from them, on your PC?
If so, then it's your camera.

figured it was my camera BUT both cameras same problem within 24 hours, same cards though, can a problem from one camera be transferred to another camera via a card???

Same brand of cards? Maybe there is a bulletin somewhere on the camera's manufacturer website that details some compatibility issue.
If you can, transfer your photos using a PC, then format the cards on the PC first, then format it again using the camera's format function.
Check with camera's manufacturer for a firmware update for your model.

Did someone flip the write protection switch on all your cards as a joke?
