Graphics driver keeps crashing or hard-locks

I recently had a thread going in the CPU forum about my computer which crashes or hard-locks at random times. Rather than re-hash, heres the thread I had going: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] k-freezing

I figured out after a Windows 7 fresh re-install that it is the graphics driver that is causing the crashes. After deleting and reinstalling catalyst 9.7 drivers, it does not hard-lock anymore. Now it actually comes back from the hard-lock (lasts about 10 seconds) and tells me "Windows recovered from a video driver crash." So, ive found out why I get these crashes, but I still don't know how to fix them. This is still occuring even after formatting and fresh installing everything. Thought maybe someone here in the graphics card forum could help me out....
