I have a dell e510 with a pentium d 940 processor. I would like to change the processor and am looking at the celeron e3200. Both processors are for socket LGA 775. Will the dell e510 motherboard accept the celeron e3200?

I dont think so.

The e3200 is 45nm and your motherboard probably wont allow it without a bios update, and Dell dont usually keep up with bios updates, because they want you to buy a new PC.

Is there a way for me to upgrade my bios?
