Hello,
i m getting BSOD while overclocking my system from 2.83 to 3.15 ghz, 4 gb simmtronics Ram , my moterboard is Asus M4A78LT-M and processor is Amd phenom ii x6 1055t 2.8ghz
I overclocked With these settings in Bios(latest 802)
Turbo core disable, cool and quite disable
CPU/HT reference clock 225
cpu multiplier 14x
ht frequence 2225
nb frequency 2225
cpu voltage 1.4v
Ram frequency 700mhz
when i make load or scan harddisk or playing games like gta 4 after 5 mins Bsod comes.
please help and tell me perfect setings for this motherboard only............

Solution
Yes itks small oc with no add voltage and can do !
Go bios -- advanced -- set voltage in smallest + 0.025
-- CPU frequenci at 230, It will give you 3.3ghz with vcore 1.32v , And drop your ram ratio/divider in option set to 1066 -- save

2.8 : 3.1 this can be achievied by the turbo mode you don't have to overclock anything besides 1.4V is too high for such little frequency try to get the code of the BSOD or the file name that causing BSOD
List all your system specs (manufacturers and model NOs) so that we can help

So Is kingston Ram is strong and right option?,
My ram is ddr3 and
is there any way to overclock cpu without any change in ram frequency......
thanx for rply

Actually, i dont want to overclock so much
i want to overclock only 2.8 to 3.3ghz
i think its not big overclocking

Which voltage i have need to change?
With this OC
cpu frequency 230 x 14 multiplier = 3220 mhz
ht/nb frequency becomes 10multiplier x 230= 2330
dram frequency 800
so
is this safe

I have one more question..
i overclock my cpu 2.8 to 3.2 with no problem, i changed my Ram to kingston
So, i want to know that
Is this OC safe with stock cooler(i know amd stock cooler is so loud, i have no complaint with loudness, m happy)??????

One thing i also want to know that
Ram ratio option in bios is only upto 800 not 1066

Yeas for stabillity change 400. Whit raise fsb to 230 you will get arround 450 = 900mhz .. Check in CPU-Z , remember you have value ram ! It will give you more stabillity,

And If you change 667 you will get bsod. Because with fsb 230, ram ran at 725 =1450mhz

Other trick if you still love your RAM and want get more clock speed maybe max 3.4 - 3.5ghz with noises fan cpu :D

get ramsink + add small fan put in ram (it will give your ram more cool)
