ASUS Motherboard P5BW-LA Raid Drivers

Hello,

I am having trouble finding the the RAID/SATA drivers for this motherboard. I've been to the ASUS support site and emailed HP's support but neither could help.

For future reference, how could I find this information on my own by looking at a motherboard?

If it's this motherboard http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00916901&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=&product=3385416 download the Intel Matrix Storage drivers from Intel. The info is in the RAID section.

Thanks for the reply. It looks to be the same board but it's a different color.

Also, The drivers for that board are only available for the Vista OS and I'm installing XP MCE. Sorry for not specifying earlier.

Search for "intel matrix storage" and download what you need. The latest version supports XP, Vista, etc.

Now I have to go buy a floppy drive. The one I took out of my compaq didn't fit the HP.

If you're installing XP, you could slipstream the drivers.

So here's what happened:

A friend of mine got this nasty virus. I removed the hard drive from her machine and ran virus removal externally with a usb to sata adapter.

When virus scan was done, I didn't check to notice what files it would be deleting .

After it deleted the files I couldn't get the hard drive to boot.

It was recognized in BIOS and all files were still there(by using usb adapter to look inside) but I couldn't get it to boot. I tried reinstalling MCE and was getting a blue screen error (probably missing drivers since I was able to boot off another hard drive just fine.)

I tried slipstreaming the drivers no go. I tried installing them manually no go.

I tried using the recovery console to fix the MBR but no go. I even tried writing another boot sector but still no go. The boot.ini looked ok compared to another copy of MCE

Finally I gave up and installed Windows 7 with no problems.
