"Hi this is my first time posting here but here it goes"

Main computer
Motherboard: ASUS P5WD2 PRIMIUM
Processor: SOCKET 775 2.8GHZ DUAL CORE P4 (overclocked by 20% using Asus A.I.NOS)
Sound card: SOUND BLASTER LIVE (PCI)
Ram: 2X1GB DDR2
Hard Drive: 1TB SATA
Optical Drive: DVD BURNER
Video Card: ASUS ATI X1950XTX PCIE 512M
Power Supply: COOLMAX 700W MODULAR

now what im wondering is what is the total power consumption of all those components put together in watts & if there was any reason in the world that why it bombed the PSU.

thank you very much ^_^

Solution
Try a Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, the next time! A reliable PSU of 700 watts is certainly more than adequate for what you are doing. Even 500 watts will suffice.
