I am getting a new computer with a 9800 gt graphics card, e7300 2.66ghz Cpu, and a 500 watt psu.
I wanted to change the 9800 gt with an ATI raedon 4870. would the psu be big enough to support that graphics card?

Should be fine. Just check to make sure it has some decent amps on the 12v rail(s).

Shouldn't have any issues unless the PSU is a total piece of crap. Check the rails as megaman stated.
