This is the power supply section of the forum. We usually answer questions about power supplies and power requirements for systems and a variety of video cards. I noticed that you listed a Corsair TX750 watt power supply and one ATI Radeon HD 5870 video card. Are you planning on adding a second 5870 in the future for Crossfire mode?
Just one thing, I would recommend you a Phenom II 965 with Asus Crosshair III formula for being a better combination with ATI cards and just as good (if not even better) in gaming, but seeing that I will probably get flamed by this forum's users I prefer not to. That's all.

That case is quite expensive. If you're looking to save a little money, you might want to take a look at the Cooler Master Storm Sniper or their HAF cases. I'm using the Storm Sniper right now and the airflow is great. It was $142 and is pretty much unanimously lauded.
Windows 7 comes out in about a day. Why buy Vista?
Also, google "Power supply calculator" and use a couple of them to see what your needs might be for 2 5870s. It's a chore to upgrade a power supply.
Also, what are the timings on that RAM? OCZ Platinum DDR3 is 1600 MHz @ 1.65 volts with 7-7-7-24 timings and they're $123. Also, great reviews. I'm using them now at 1.62 volts with 8-8-8-24 (same as the ram you spec'd) because I was afraid to use 1.66 volts (my motherboard doesn't have anything between 1.62 and 1.66 volts). Check which DRAM voltages your motherboard can support and you might get even better timings than mine at, say, 1.64 volts.
Unless you're a super audiophile, I hear (pun intended) that on-board sound is really good these days. You might be able to save there. And if you're not satisfied, you could always add it later. I would suggest checking out some reviews for your motherboard's sound and maybe experiencing it for yourself first before buying another part.
Western Digital Caviar Black 640's are fast drives, but the Samsung Spinpoint F3's are faster. Review here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/s [...] -review/1. Both are faster than hard drives in the Caviar Blue series. The spinpoints are fast in part due to their dense 500 GB platters, which the WD 2TB drives have also. The Caviar black 640 has 320 GB platters, the Caviar Black 2 TB has 500 GB platters.
I just bought an F3 for around $50 on newegg.
Good Luck!

Good luck with your PC.
Except it isn't. The great irony from the benchmarks right now is that Nvidia GPUs do better with AMD CPUs, and ATI/AMD GPUs do better with Intel CPUs (though the difference isn't huge).
Here are the official power requirements for the brand new ATI Radeon HD 5870 video cards.
ATI Radeon™ HD5870 System Requirements:
PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended
600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in • dual mode
The power supply recommendations are for an entire pc system.
The Corsair HX650 can easily power an overclocked system with two ATI Radeon HD 5870 video cards operating in Crossfire mode. It has a single large 12 volt rail rated at 52 amps. It also comes with a total of four PCI-e 6+2 pin power connectors for video cards. The connectors can be used as either 6 pin or 8 pin connectors.
SWEET yes some money savers the samsung is deff better and yes im getting the sound card ive been in the music business for 10 years now and do scoring , producing and studio drumming so i can tell the difference in sound the case mehh im kind of a cosmetics kind of guy so idk if anyone can show me a case as cool as that for cheaper then yea

Pardon me then, I just thought it would be strange that AMD/ATI GPUs work better on their counterpart's CPUs But after looking at some benchies you are right. Actually nvidia performs better on AMD... So scratch that Phenom II recommendation if you are getting ATI, but you can always consider it as there is not much difference.
