OK FOLK!!!
got this "infamous" dell tower gx280...endemic cooling problem, with a tower heatsink that I'd like to replace with a fan...478 style, got the picture?

Problem's there are tall condensers right next to CPU...was thinking of using an adapter, but how to overcome this problem?

PS: I FOUND THE HEATSINK OUT OF PLACE, AND THAT BURNED CPU...according to INTEL, chipset 915G supports up to 3.8ghz...

but I read this mobo doesn't support that CPU......ANY DIRECT EXPERIENCE ON THIS ISSUE
