either of the MSI boards will be fine... ASrock tend to be aimed at the lower end of the market / budget market

Asrock is low end? Hardly. They may make some inexpensive low end boards (like mine), but they also make the same high end stuff and features everyone else has.

Asrock is my new favorite. Asus really gave them all the same features as their own boards for a lower price, but took 1yr off their warranty liability in exchange for that lower price.

You can't go wrong. I'd go with the extreme 4 no doubt. Besides, it's a Tom's Hardware 2011 recommended buy.

The 1yr less warranty you may take into consideration. But your paying for it anyways with the higher price. I doubt you'll ever need the warranty in the 3rd year.
