Hey guys, newb to TH forum. I've just recently built a new rig, here's the specs:

Intel Core i7 920
Asus P6T
3GB 1600 Corsair CL9
MSI N260GTX
WD Caviar Green 500GB
OCZ 600W Game X Tream

When I browse the web using firefox, it has a very annoying scroll lag; but after I ran games or 3dMark 06, firefox will scroll fine without lag. Anyone have any clue about it?

Thanks a lot! :bounce:

Its probably a driver problem for now.

Future Drivers could easily resolve the problem. (Especially since you are using windows 7)

I HIGHLY doubt any startup program in Windows 7 could slow down your pc like that.. it has more then enough power to handle anything Windows 7 throws at it.

Also if you haven't already update to Firefox 3.5, its a much faster version then 3.

Like i said before, Drivers are probably the culprit, i had a very similar problem with a old ATI card i had, once i updated it to the latest drivers scrolling was very slow

So either way wait for new drivers OR Try older versions then the one you are currently using.

I had a similar issue in Windows Vista when drivers became available for the Geforce 8800, and I also experienced the same in Windows 7 (x64) with my Gainward GeForce 260. On both occasions it was the video card driver. If you're using nVidia Driver 190.62 for Window 7, try backing down to an older version. This solved it for me.

You might also want to double check that the driver did in fact install correctly. If you do a bit of 'Googling', you'll find that a lot of people had issues with the driver not installing correctly (most of whom seem to have a GeForce 260).
