I have a Q8200 in an ASRock P34Twins1600 board. The problem is that no matter if I set the CPU to (Auto, Manual, or Optimized) in the BIOS with all the speedstep, spread spectrum etc. off the PC FSB is running at 328 MHz instead of the 333 MHz that it is supposed to run at stock. Even when I set it to Manual 333 it still runs at 328. I manually set it to 340 MHz and it is now running at 335 MHz. why is the board running slower than it set to run? Is there a problem with my board?

There is slight variation among the frequency generators used, yours seems to be running about 1.5% slow, the one on my AMD board runs .35% fast. They are usually closer than that but yours is still pretty close to the intended range. If you have it bumped up so that it will run at about 333MHz then everything will run no problem, even with it at 328MHz nothing would have a problem.

A BIOS update seems to have fixed my problem, everything was detected correctly with settings at auto on 1st boot after update :)
