Hi

I have just installed a new 4870 x2 with my old 4870 512 MB in crossfire and I get no signal no monitor (connected with DVI-D to 4870x2).

I refresh installed latest(9.7) drivers properly with the 4870x2 installed then restart and everything worked ran crysis warhead on very high 1900*1200 with avg fps of 35-45 I then installed my 4870 (which was working fine and still is alone) in crossfire with the crossfire cable, booted up and I get no signal on all dvi outputs.

Funny thing is after powering off and on five times and trying different outputs it turned on and was showing the windows login screen went in and noticed it was connected to the 4870 and it could see the 4870 x2 enabled crossfire and had performance boost in crysis warhead played same lvl and had avg 10-15 fps boost disabled crossfire and ran game with 4870x2 and it ran 35-45fps just like it did without the 4870. So I was very happy with the results.

Restarted pc and now I get no signal again tried to redo what I did and it will never give signal unless I remove the 4870 no post nothing anyone know what I am doing wrong?

cool I have an Asus P5Q Pro. I haven't updated bios since I got this like 14 months ago. I'll try that today

Thanks annisman

Np, I hope it works. I have an Asus P5E board, which is probably similar to yours, and I needed the latest bios. Let me know how it goes.

Here, check out my in-depth tri-fire review I did on Tom's a few months back, our setups are very similar so the number would be pretty close, enjoy.
