X2 250 or E5300

Hi
I want to build a desktop for my work (programming .net, some photoshop & usual works)
My budget is few.
what solution i choose to have best performance?
i want to have vga onboard mainboard.

1- CPU: X2 250
MB: GA-MA74gm or Asus:M4N78-AM (what)

2- CPU:E5300
MB: GA-G31m

GA-MA74 with AM3 socket have supported 2000MT/s (HT.1) but M4N78-AM is supported HT3. is this feature very important in my work?

Having said that I would go for the X2 250 as it is slightly better. As for the motherboard choice, the GA-MA74GM is an AM2+ socket motherboard that will support AM3 cpus, but you have to use DDR2 memory. The M4N78-AM is a AM3 socket motherboard and you have to use more expensive DDR3 memory.

You probably wouldn't see much of a difference between the two.

Oh my bad, thought I read somewhere that it was AM3. Either of the motherboards would be fine. I always use Gigabyte though for some reason.
