So i am fairly new at overclocking, but not a complete noob.

I have a biostar tp67b+:

And a core i5 2500k:

I have it currently overclocked at 4.2ghz, but i can only overclock if i do specific settings in the bios, let me explain!:

1. I need to change cpu modifier to 4.2ghz
2. I need to set turbo to the exact setting i set my multiplier too (on all 4 of them)

I wanted to have it at 4.0ghz multiplier and 4.2ghz turbo mode but when i load into windows and load up prime 95 it just resets itself to stock speed. The only way i have got an overclock to work is setting the multiplier and turbo mode to the exact same frequency. I have tried disabling the turbo mode alltogether and then just doing the multiplier but that does not work either.

I guess its not a huge deal because i have a stable overlclock and i have not touched any voltage settings, and speedstep and eist work too. I just find it odd that i cant set turbo different than my CPU multiplier.
