I'm thinking of buying the Scythe Mine 2, because I want to overclock my CPU (Intel Core i5 2500k). I was wondering if this cooler will fit into my case (Cooler Master Elite 310). My ram is G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB (2x4 GB), so I'm only using 2 ram slots (but will the other slots still be accessible) My motherboard is ASUS P8P67 LE.

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

Your case is 191mm wide while the cooler is 161mm high, so, you can install it without problems inside your case.

Thank you for your reply. Is 30 mm difference in size between the cooler and the case enough? Because the motherboard isn't directly on the bottom (and the socket/cpu isn't flat of course). Also this cooler is good for overclocking, right? I want to get the cpu (Intel Core i5 2500k) to run at 4 (or 4.5 if possible) ghz. There aren't much reviews about it, but the ones I found were positive about it. Sorry for asking so many questions, I just want to be sure before I order it (this pc is my first custom build pc).

It's a good cooler and can give you good temps plus those SB overclock very easy with low temps. Regarding the space, the 30mm are enough.

That's a MASSIVE cooler!
How can you be sure the motherboard won't bend under all that weight?
