[Solved] ESATA, USB 3.0 or Firewire for an external HDD?

Soooo, what's the verdict? Has anyone jumped on this hot topic yet? Please share.

  1. I personally prefer USB 3.0 because for hard drives it's just as fast and if your system crashes you can still recover your data by plugging the drive into another computer - every computer has a USB port and a USB 3.0 drive will work just fine (albeit at reduced speed) even in a system that only has USB 2.0).
