about every 2 minutes a box apperars in the bottom right of my screen saying that norton has blocked a virus. when i press view details it says it is a tridserv activity and every time it has a diffrent IP address. Will norton block all of theses and they will soon disapperar or am i infected???

Also i run a full scan daily and everytime there is one security risk, it says tracking cookies. the risk level is low and i can fix it each time. is this normal?

More about : virus popping

Unless you're getting it from a site, and you keep going to that same site, then no, it's not normal.

Try running thru the malware guide in my signature.

Disconnect the computer from the Internet (physical connection)... to verify if the the 2 minute cycle detections are comming from the Internet (likely by the changing IP)... but if they continue, your system is probably infected.

If the infection is incomming (and stopped), you need to secure your system to make it invisible in the Internet.. Run a Symantec Security Check (Norton Security Scan) to know where/what your vulnerabilities are and what you can do to make your system invisible to attacks.

If already infected, run an online virus scan.
