Hi agian-

having decided that a Hyperthreading CPU would be worth the small investment, I have seen a sl793 goign for $45 (3.4ghz/512k/800fsb) and sl6wg (3.2 Ghz/512k/800fsb) - Can anyone tell me why I shouldn't spend half the cash for a - .2gh difference?

Because it's only $23?

But you're right, you wont really notice any difference between the .2 if they have the same fsb and cache.

I got a prescot 1mb 478 on ebay and they are dirt cheap right now but its not the fastest 478 on the block.

It depends on what you want -- if you need to be as high on the CPU speed as possible, then you get 3.4GHz. If you care about more practical purposes, you get 3.2GHz.
You can also look at the same thing from another side: if you save $23 here, then you could invest it into something else (i.e. memory) and benefit of it more than your CPU difference.
