Timing is more important than cycle rate. The OCZ DDR3 PC3-15000 Platinum Series CL7 Edition Low-Voltage Triple Channel is a better memory. But memory is not where I would throw my money. Here are memory speeds for various memory choices:

Code :
  1. Type    2 X Cycle Speed MHz     CAS    CAS speed x10**-6 seconds    TRAS      TRAS speed x10**-6 seconds
  2. DDR2    1200                      5    0.004166667                    18            0.015000000
  3. DDR3    1333                      7    0.005251313                    20            0.015003751
  4. DDR3    1600                      8    0.005000000                    24            0.015000000
  5. DDR3    1866                      9    0.004823151                    28            0.015005359
  6. DDR3    1866                      7    0.003751340                    26            0.013933548
  7. DDR3    2000                      9    0.004500000                    30            0.015000000
  8. DDR3    21333                    8      0.000375006                  24            0.001125018

So how much better is the expensive stuff vs the 1333 7-7-7-19 ? Not where I would put my money.

"Two GeForce GTX 275s in SLI will deliver performance superior to the GeForce GTX 295 for about $370, which is $50 less than the SLI-on-a-card GeForce GTX 295."

In terms of bandwidth, the GDDR5 is no faster then the GDDR3 based cards.
