i have a cousin who wants to upgrade system without spent a penny. he ask me to build him a system with my old compound. though in these day i could not find a desirable psu for system which left a 300watt psu to pick(i didn't know i have such thing) since he kept rushing me for a built so i wonder, is it enough for these compound below?

prescott dual core 805(i had planty of them which i have no idea where these came from........)
msi p6ngm-l(it's currently under curse seal......)
1gb ddr2 533 (in its retirement.....)
geforce 8600gt/geforce 8800gs(he wants that one....but i sure the psu wont take it)
160gb 5400rpm hdd

PS: i'm wondering if i should buy a new psu instead of use this....

If it's one of these brands, he may be ok: antec, seasonic, ocz, enermax, corsair, and pc power and cooling. These better brands don't overstate their amp ratings and are tested to work under full load. Any of these in 450-550w should be plenty for your system.
