Hi all,

I run 2 LCDs at home on my i7 system w/ a Nvidia 275 graphics card.

Right now both LCDs a hooked to the same graphics card.

I'm thinking of added a 3rd screen into the mix.

Since all of my gaming takes place on 1 screen, shoud I buy a lighter graphics card and put the 2 secondary screens (used for mainly non-graphical apps) on that card and just leave the main gaming screen on my beefier graphics card?

FYI - These will NOT NOT NOT be hooked up in SLI

Yup, I have 2 more PCI-E slots (3 total) and a 750W Power supply.

From doing more research, it seems to be totally fine on Vista and Windows 7, thought XP may be limited in that both cards need to run under the same general driver.

My current card is a EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 275 and I just ordered a EVGA Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT from New Egg as the secondary card. Both use the same driver package fron Nvidia.

Just an update, it works great, I plugged in the 9600 GT and XP auto installed the drivers, then I connected my 2nd monitor to it and extended desktop and it runs great.

So just to recap, my main game monitor is being driven by my Geforce GTX 275 and my 2nd monitor is being driven by the 9600 GT. Both PCI-E's are running in 16x mode.
