CPU cooler height clearance

The case I bought rates the cooler height at 159mm.
The Hyper 212+ is 158.5mm high.

So, in theory the cooler should fit in my case with 0.5mm of clearance.
But is this a good idea?

Hm, I'm still not convinced.
Is the cooler height rating only a recommendation and where do they measure from?
