Hi! I am purchasing a great gaming rig soon, and it is fully customizable, here's what I've decided on so far!

Q9550 2.83 ghz quad core (i hope to overclock it in the future)
260 gtx core 216 graphics
4 gb ram
250 gb hd
win. 7 64 ultimate
Antec 900 casing
650 or 750 power supply?
im unsure of which motherboard to get! here's the stock one, is it good enough? LGA 775 Intel G31 ATX Intel Motherboard

which would you recommend that is cheap, and reliable for highend gaming with decent sound? i looked at this one: ASUS P5QL-VM DO LGA 775 ASUS P5QL-VM DO uATX ASUS Motherboard - Retail... it looks ok, im looking for the 50-130 price range if possible

im not sure though, let me know, thanks! :bounce:

First you may want to look at a socket 1156 or am3 board, socket 775 is dead

ok, cool, thanks! hey, if it says core i5 or i7, does that mean it's only compatible with those, or will the quad cores work as well?
