hi i have an evga 122k-nf67-t1 680i mb with q6600 go step proc and 4x1gb corsair dominator c4d 6400 ram . i would like to ease into overclocking and i was told that its better to oc ram in 2x2 sets than 4x1 . is that true if so a recomendation for that board on some good memory please . greatly appreciated.

Try setting your cpu fsb from 533 (may also be 1066) to 666 (or 1333, depending on your bios) first, and set your memory ratio to 1:1.66, and see how stable your system is. No point in buying more ddr2 when your old ram may give you some overclocking options and your next board will likely require ddr3. You may also bump up your cpu voltage by .1 volts without hurting the cpu.
