Hello all.
I am in the process of gathering info for a build.
I was wondering if Gigabytes recommendations have to be followed closely.
I originally selected this memory:

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL - Retail
Dual Channel Intel Core i5 & Core i7 CPU for P55 motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

for this motherboard:

GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Does this mean I cannot use the memory for my amd system as it says its for a p55 mobo?
Should I go with a lower latency in a ddr3 1333 for a cost savings?
Do I have t0 stick with what the mobo compatible memory lists?
Thanx in advance for any and all advice.
Jeff

you can still use the memory on the AMd system

as for the things you should follow for memory standards just go stay with DDR3 and don't OC past 1600 mhz

you can go for lower latency 1333 memory if you want but not necessary
