I built this computer at school never had a problem with it until tonight. i just installed windows 7 on it today then when i was working on homework it just turned off and wont turn back on. for the past couple of days there has been a faint burning smell coming from the psu but it seemed to of go away. When i opened the computer up there was a green light on the motherboard lit up and thats it. checked all the connections they were fine just nothing will power up not even the fans. any help would be appreciated i need this comp to be up and working asap.

I would borrow a power supply from another system if possible. If it's old, clean it with a canned air product. They run about $5. Never open a ps; it will give you quite a jolt if you touch some internal parts.
