Two computers at Costco tonight. Didn't buy one as I wanted to find out which one was better? Can you help me please.

Here is what I am trying to find out.

intel core2 quad q8300 versus amd x4 quad core 620

Which one is better. I use my computer for ebay, email, Facebook, and for looking at pictures that I take on my camera and some light gaming.

Which one shour I purchase and why?

Both of these computers come with Windows 7 on them.

The Q8300 would be the more powerful of the two. Heres a comparison between the Q8200 and the X4 620. Since the Q8200 is 2.33ghz and the Q8300 is 2.5ghz you could expect it to perform slightly better.

Oh FFS. bloody tom's forums. so unreliable. Let me type that again....

Chances are the AMD system comes with a better IGP.

As bige says, the Intel will perform slightly better but they both sound like more than enough for the activities listed.

Are they the same price?
Can you provide any more specs? RAM? graphics?

One is 799.00 and the other is 999.99.

Here is another one I found tonight at Costco with Windows 7 on it?

What do you think about this one; I am female so not too knowledgeable on the mechanics of a computer; can use it fine..... :)

How much is it? Of those other two, the 799 one is the much better choice simply because the cpu's are pretty much identical.

A phenom II 945 is much more powerful than both. Try to find out what motherboard is on each so we can figure out what graphics are being used.

I am also confused in deciding which one to buy and so happy to see those answers. Can anyone tell me if my major application is for Photoshop Element 7, which one will be better? Much appreciated.
