My computer is an MSI K9A2 CF-F, and a Phenom 9500 chip, everything else has been upgradded. But in large loads in games I am still getting crashes. I currently use a 4890 X2, and 4 gigs of OCZ Black Widow 1066. My power supply is a CoolMaster 600 watt. For some reason it only happens in MMORPG's like AION and LOTRO. I can run offline fine. I assume its because the load on the CPU is not as large. I have upgraded to the most current BIOS and still have APPCRASH error and the program shuts down in areas with high traffic. It is really frustrating I have run MEMTEST upgraded everything but the MB and CPU. After christmas I am, but until than does anyone have any ideas that could help me? I also shut everything down when playing and do no CPU overclocking and crank the fan up on it because the thing gets a little hot. I am also running Vista 32, maybe that is the bad guy here. I won't be able to upgrade to 7 for a few months

Currently there are a lot of people experiencing sporadic appcrash problems with LOTRO so it is probably not your hardware. Especially if you have a Creative X-Fi card; but often if you don't. I have tested my X-FI and onboard and had lockups and crashes with both. The crashes have happened much more frequently lately. I'm not sure if it's the last LOTRO patch or if it is the newest Catalyst drivers.
PLUS: LOTRO has known problems and crashes if you use Directx 10 and "very" high-res textures. Especially with Vista32. (So if you are attempting to use "very" high-res textures then the first thing you would want to do is step that down a notch until you can load a 64 bit operating system. Unless you have Vista Ultimate I think you have to pay $10.00 or so and order the 64-bit DVD from Microsoft.) See: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=256747
ALSO: For my system a 750W PC Power&Cooling power supply was not enough to handle a Phenom II 940 with a 4850x2 at full load. A 4890x2 would take even more power than that. So you might be pushing your power to the max at full load. But in my opinion this is not your LOTRO problem. (I don't know about AION.)
